It's been a while since I've actually read an entire earnings report but EA's Q2 earnings report is really informative and, for once, states facts we actually care about.

FIFA 10 gets a lot of praise for it's Metacritic score of 91% and the fact that it's Electronic Arts' strongest launching title in Europe with 4.5 million copies in the first week and still going strong in all charts.

Next to the rightful FIFA praise, Electronic Arts also mentions that they have eight titles this quarter that score 80% or more on Metacritic. Hey, you would be proud too if you had eight children that graduated with distinct honours from the jury.

It gets even better when you look at the entire year and EA managed to put 17 titles up there amongst the best. That could make one wonder why they are axing 1500 jobs right? Probably because they release ten times as much games or ports that don't make the top shelve.

But enough with the giant corporation bashing, one can twist it how he or she wants, FIFA 10 is still a game that screams awesomeness.
