EA ditches Red Alert 3 for PS3

EA has officially announced that for now a PS3 version of Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 is not on the table anymore. Reason: development on PS3 is tough and exotic.

"We actually announced a PS3 version early on but that was when we were still doing a lot of technical exploration of the architecture. PS3 is a very powerful system but as you guys know it's very exotic and tough to develop for and our engine really at the time wasn't designed for PS3."

A PS3 version might still make it though, but that would be at a later stage (if at all)

he speaks about previous times of working on the ps3. I think there ok with it now everything he says was "at the time" so I see no real problem with a game that belongs on the pc anyways.

Agreed, I was almost pissed off, but then again, much rather EA skip bringing it to the PS3, if they can't hack it. Which they've proven they can't in the past. Either way, as you said, it's a friggin PC game anyway.
