EA doesn't like you meddling with servers

EAGames have made a community update concerning the Battlefield 2 retail serverfiles.

It seems they really don't want anyone messing around with the files :

Be advised that, as with the demo, servers that are caught allowing users to play with the unlock weapons using the python workaround will incur a one week ban from the server list. While we encourage mod teams to discover cool things to do with the python scripts, we reserve the right to de-list servers that find ways to undermine the core features of the game using these tools. We will be sure to update the community when we do begin punishing a tweak that falls into this category.

So, you can do whatever you want, but they can just as easily remove your server from the list... Seems like real freedom :)

Videogames are being fucked up by shitty build quality lately and they can fuck the whole "they are more expensive to produce" mantra.

If your devs can afford to buy Ferrari's and Porsche then you can afford to cut the wages a bit and build a proper QA team to test it and maybe, just maybe, pay some programmers a little extra to sit down each week and plug the holes in the code.

I would like to commend EA on their excellent Master Server support. I have enjoyed trouble free gaming, being able to log in whenever I want and have never been booted half-way through a game, resulting in the loss of my stats, in either BF2 or BF2142 - oh no, wait... I just remembered that I have been disconnected 10-11 times consecutively today and haven't finished 1 singe round and that's why I'm posting here.

Thy continually patch the game and remove all the exploits so we can enjoy the game more... oh, no, wait - that's right, they DON'T fix the clipping exploits and didn't fix the game then dumped support as soon as BF2142 was making them serious $$$.

Can EA say moooooooooooooo? Cash cows, money whores!

...and wtf is that POS server browser in BF2142? Take a look at STEAM and see how a REAL server browser works. Filters that can be PERMANENTLY set so that you DON'T HAVE TO ENTER THE SAME FUCKING INFORMATION EVERY DAMN TIME YOU LOG IN!!!

Does EA ever look at their product and think - "Gee, that's really fucking annoying, we should fix that." ??? Obviously not.

Fuck ea games i agree...... bought 2142...... worked for a while then bought the nothern strike addon..... that fucked the whole game up and banned my codes due to some install error... now ive spend hundreds and hundreds on the phone to ea... they admit its their fault but still want my credit card when i phone them.. they won't reply to email support but just tell me to phone them at $4 per minute... .fucking hell i get phone sex cheaper..... not some panzy philipino cunt that can't speak english and has never used a computer in his life and cant fuken speak english........ i told him his wife was a whore and he goes "what you want to buy more" fucking ea games.... spead it to the world we are only a few of thousands out there who have problems with ea just spread the word......
