EA employs season workers
Electronic Arts today confirmed that they've started their "seasonal roll-offs".
It seems the company has started a tradition of employing people, and then sacking them whenever the holiday season is coming up. This is already the third year in a row this is happening.

EA Corporate dude Jeff Brown had the following to say:
"As you know, seasonal roll-offs that follow game launches are common and vital to maintaining a healthy business. Because so many of our games ship in the holiday quarter, the team size adjustments tend to follow in the same timeframe. However, EA is growing and several of our studios are looking to hire talented people."
Apparently as many as 100 employees have found themselves without a job, with Black Box Games and EA Canada being mentioned specifically and the teams that worked on Skate 3 and NBA Elite 11 being hit most.Devs being hired like seasonal farm workers. Original!
