EA: forum bans and game bans are not the same
It seems I missed most of the discussion about the topic but EA made an official statement to Gamecyte that getting banned on their forums does not automatically ban you from their games.
A few weeks back a community manager on the C&C fora announced that the community and games linked to this community (most are these days) only required one ban to be effective in both places.
EA responded with the following:

“Players who have been banned from EA Forums are not automatically banned from online access to their other EA games,”
