EA gives musical talent a chance
Posted on Wednesday, 28 March 2007 by Zwan, source: Fragland.net
As you could possibly tell from the title, the world's largest game publisher, Electronic Arts, started a new music label yesterday: Artwerk.
The goal of the label is to give both new and known artists the chance to further explore their possiblities... and earn some money with it, probably. Electronic Arts already has a very wide distribution network for their games. It shouldn't be much of a problem to use it for their music.
The first artist to sign an agreement is Junkie XL, one of the Netherlands' biggest export products :) For the people of Artwerk, he was a logical choice, seeing how he has already composed quite a few tracks for EA's titles, such as Need for Speed: Carbon. A little less conversation and a little more action, indeed!
P.S.: the lady in the top right corner is one of NFS: Carbon's babes, which obviously explains her presence in this newspost.
