EA makes Monopoly
Together with Hasbro Electronic Arts is planning to bring the board game Monopoly to console this autumn. The game will be released as a full retail version for Wii, PS2 and Xbox360 and not via their downloading services.
The classic formula will according to EA and Hasbro be perfectly transformed into a fast-paced game with some extras like minigames to for instance get out of jail.

It's set to coincide with, and draws inspiration from, the new "Monopoly Here & Now: The World Edition" board game that's coming out this fall. Instead of making you wait your turn, it will feature simultaneous gameplay for faster action. Minigames will also be featured, such as breaking out of a jail cell like you've always wanted to do in a Monopoly game.
