EA resurrecting C&C: Renegade?

Posted on Friday, 21 September 2007 by Speed, source: Gamespot
EA has put up a new job posting on their website that would suggest the company will be resurrecting the old Command & Conquer first person shooter Renegade

"Does the idea of contributing your specialized knowledge in sound design to the next-generation gaming platform for EAs widely recognized leading sci-fi franchise get you pumped," the posting asks. "EA has an exciting opportunity for a sound designer who will work closely with the audio director on creating sound effects, dialog, and music for a next-generation first person shooter game."

Although EA has various sci-fi franchises, but EA Los Angeles are the owners of the Command & Conquer brand so a new Renegade would sound most probable.

i loved renegade since i could see all those buildings from the first command and conquer up close and personal ,sadly the AI of your enemies was just horrible :(

multiplayer was also fun, trying to destroy the enemy base :)

I agree, the renegade game was a head of its time. I don’t think Westwood gave the game the exposure it needed to be successful. Remember never get out of your tank to steal a power generator.
