EA signs projects of GPG and Castaway
According to the Avault Electronic Arts is funding new projects of two independent developers.
An agreement with Gas Powered Games has been made for an rts which would release in 2006 on PC. This could surely be the (unofficial) 'sequel' to Total Annihilation where Chris Taylor was talking about recently.
Another developer gets support from EA as well, namely Castaway Entertainment. This new company which has about eight ex-Blizzard employees in its ranks is creating a new action-rpg for EA. That genre shouldn't be a problem for them when you look at their work on the Diablo series.
