EA slashes prices
Posted on Wednesday, 22 February 2006 by Speed, source: Worthplaying
Electronic Arts, the world's biggest publisher of games, has announced they'll lower the price of two upcoming top games with 20%.
You'll probably think something like "Yea, we'll see two stupid games that don't sell at a budget price" but I'm pretty happy to be able to deny that as in fact the two games will be Black and The Godfather. Also the just shipped Fight Night: Round 3 is supposed to hit the shelves at a suggested retail price of $39.
The main reason for this is that EA has found out that more and more gamers refuse to pay the normal price for current-gen games as they're saving as much as possible for next-gen consoles.
It's currently not certain whether or not EA will do the same price cuts in Europe, we at least hope they will! Hopefully, other publishers like Ubisoft and Activision will follow.
