EA to shut down Visceral Australia?
There's several rumours floating around on the net that Electronic Arts will be shutting down its Australian arm of Visceral Games.
The studio down under was working on an unannounced X360 and PS3 AAA title for the last couple of years, but apparently EA Games' VP Patrick Soderland (DICE) decided the project would not become profitable and pulled the plug. And the studio along with it.
The above are currently still rumours but it seems there will be a meeting with HR for studio members on Monday so it remains to be seen whether this will be to announce closure or just a number of redundancies.
Visceral Australia has contributed work on Dead Space, The Godfather II and Dante's Inferno.
