ESA loses another member
After Vivendi and Activision, now also LucasArts has decided to discontinue its membership of the Entertainment Software Association.
LucasArts did state they'll still be attending E3 this year, unlike Activision/Vivendi.
ESA’s Senior Vice President of Communication and Research Rich Taylor "can confirm that one of [its] members, LucasArts, has decided not to renew its membership."
The statement continued, "We value each member of our association, but respect the unique factors that led to LucasArts’ decision." Taylor concluded, "We are confident the industry will continue to thrive and ESA will continue to create a beneficial environment for the entire entertainment software industry."
This really sounds as a load of crap. Once the big companies start bailing out, more will follow. Unless the ESA does something, we'll see it deteriorate very quickly. The statement continued, "We value each member of our association, but respect the unique factors that led to LucasArts’ decision."
