Just Cause 2 running away from Japanese Anime lovers
Eidos Interactive has now been fully integrated into Square-Enix and has received a new name: Square-Enix Europe.
"Today marks a major achievement towards the goals we announced in July and represents the creation of an efficient and powerful structure for game development and publishing," said Square Enix Europe president and CEO Phil Rogers.

"We have a formidable product-line up which truly showcases the diversity of our exceptional gaming brands."
To be honest, I kinda liked the "Eidos" brand a lot more than "Square-Enix". The latter only makes me think of Japanese anime titles while Eidos covers so much more...

Oh well, I wouldn't be surprised if the Eidos name would be re-used in a couple of years.

Hello, it's Keir from Eidos here. I'm a Community Monkey.

Just to clarify - Eidos name lives on for games you'd traditionally associate with it. You'll still have Eidos on the splash screens and boxes of games like Hitman, Championship Manager, Tomb Raider, Deus Ex, Thief, etc, etc

:)

Oh, just like Infogrames did with Atari right before they actually changed their name to Atari. Didn't they go bankrupt?
