Everquest, the most successful MMORPG thusfar, today celebrates its fifth birthday.

For this occasion Sony Oline Entertainment published some eye-catching numbers.

Some of the facts:

2.5 million copies of Everquest and its many add-ons have been sold or downloaded.

For the moment, there are over 420.000 loyal subscribers, a number that is still growing. On busy moments, up to 100.000 gamers play their favourite online game at the same time.

The oldest player is 78 (!) years old, the youngest 9.

The total hours of playing time of all players is no less than 184.000 years, an incredible ammount.

Over 10 quadrillion (15 zeros ;) ) bytes of data have been sent from SOE's servers!
