Ex-NWN2 Lead Designer working on Dragon Age
RPGdot found a thread on the Dragon Age-forums where Ferret Baudoin confirms that he is now working on Bioware's homecooked PC exclusive RPG Dragon Age.
It was already known that the ex-Lead Designer of Obsidian Entertainment's Neverwinter Nights 2 left his company for Bioware but now we know what project he is working on.
Dragon Age has been announced for quite a while now and was a surprising announcement at the E3 of 2004 where the game was presented as a return to the roots for Bioware; a PC-only, partybased RPG with the epic likes of Baldur's Gate II but also with the modability of a title like Neverwinter Nights. It will also have a unique setting and an own roleplaying system, so no more D&D-limitations here.
There has been no publisher signed yet and even the screenshots in this post is pretty aged by now. If anything, PC-fans of the old Infinity Engine games should be on the lookout for this one when it'll release in 2007 (or even 2008) since it appears to be the only worthwhile PC game Bioware has in the making (next to a port of the more action-based RPG Jade Empire).
