Ex-Ubi AC lead takes more Ubi talent to THQ
THQ's Danny Bilson had quite a speech today. After unveiling that Relic Entertainment is doing some work for Valhalla on Devil's Third, THQ's Core Game Boss also stated that Patrice Désilets won't be the only guy from Ubisoft Entertainment to join THQ in Montreal.
Apparently, Désilets, who's currently serving out his non-compete clause, will be heading off THQ's Montreal studio with three more people from Ubisoft joining him:
Apparently, Désilets, who's currently serving out his non-compete clause, will be heading off THQ's Montreal studio with three more people from Ubisoft joining him:
"I don't think I can talk about the other three people we've already contracted because I wouldn't ... I just know Patrice said, 'I need these three guys.' And I said 'Okay! Whatever you need!'," Bilson said. "We put all of them on retention and got them started on their non-competes [non-compete clauses]. I kind of know what their roles are, but they were the most important people to Patrice. All three of them are Ubi."
Désilets will start at THQ Montreal as of May 29th and will be heading the publisher's biggest studio which means THQ is currently on a huge hiring spree all over the world, trying to get talent together in Canada. In other news:
