Stardock, the studio behind amongst others Sins of a Solar Empire and in the past also the Galactic Civilizations series, will soon be expanding.

The developer let know in a press release they are planning to expand their current studios. Additionally they will also be starting up a second branch, located in Plymouth, Michigan, just outside of Detroit. Other states were a candidate as well but Michigan, in coordination with the county the studios would be located at, offered the most interesting options. These options can be summarized as an attractive tax incentive. Essentially it means a reduction of 42% on the production cost taxes and 25% on the base investment tax.

The investment weighs in at $900,000 and will provide 50 new jobs. This way the new branch can start working on a new, so far unnanounced, RPG.
