Beat it!

Microsoft Studios sadly told us that the fantasy game Fable 2 won't appear this fall. As was mentioned by Lionhead Studios director Peter Molyneux, the release will be when the snow has appeared. In other words, expect it near Christmas.

Fable 2 is an RPG in which you have to build up your own character and can even raise a family. Killing rats and wiping out scavengers is something you will do daily to make a living.

It also has drop-in/out co-operative play for you and a friend either locally or online. The best bit about this is if the person joining has a saved character, the game detects it and models their henchman around it. It also means you take away any gold or experience earned when going back to your world.

Around the same time of the release, there will be a Live Arcade game which will give you the chance to earn some ingame money, this can then be used in the game itself after it launches.
