Fallout 3 falls victim to censorship

Posted on Wednesday, 10 September 2008 by daffeh, source: Fragland
During an interview with Edge Online, Peter Hines made a clear statement about the censor issues that were raised some time ago when the game did not pass the Australian censorship commission with the rating they had hoped for.
“We want to make sure folks understand that the Australian version of Fallout 3 is identical to both the UK and North American versions in every way, on every platform.”

This means there there will be no "real life" drug reference in the game anywhere. Allthough it's a small bit of censoring, I still don't really get it. They get their nickers in a twist over the reference to Morphine but they are ok with shooting a mutant until it dies a gory death? Way to be consequent there mates!

What??!?!

I love reading the articles on Fragland, or trying too. It's like their mission statement must be:

"Fragland: To present alot of great news, but look very dumb and unprofessional by not proof-reading them"
