Fallout 3: mine's smaller than yours!

Pete Hines from Bethesda Softworks has told Gameplayer that the world in Fallout 3 will in fact be 20% to 50% smaller than Cyrodiil in Oblivion.
The game itself will give you a lot of freedom, which is reflected in ethic decisions you'll have to make and in the dozen or so different endings. The replay factor will indeed be high, even with the game's respectable length. The main quest should last you around 20 hours, with another 20 to be added from sidequests. Replaying the game is also required to unlock every single achievement in the game.
The original setting, impressive graphics and spectacular combat engine should make Fallout 3 a succes. The game is expected to arrive this Fall.
