Good news for the EVE Online players, CCP games just released a mini-website of the new update called Apochrypha. This update will become available on March 10th and below you can find some info about the new features and of course also the site itself.

Ingame players can expect a new range of Tech 3 ships, improved AI, wormholes which can lead to new solar systems, a revamped tutorial and the ability to queue multiple skills.

Regarding technology there will also be some changes, a new sound engine, support for Russian characters and the required update to the Premium Lite update if you want to have a lighter version for your older PC/Laptop.

Besides these features, you can also find several video-interviews, screenshots and concept art of the game on the mini website. They also added a small teaser trailer online on the main page where they once again show us how gorgeous the graphics are.

Those who are interested in the new update just have to click here to find out more about it :)

Upon release of EVE online Apocrypha, the patching process went fine.

But when entering the game, the game looks like it was turned into a beta testers nightmare.

Sounds are missing, graphics in the station look like they come from a souped up verision of a old 90's erafirst person shooter.

There is alot of complaints from regular customers of unable to log into the game due to poor patching, long times to download the game (like some up to two days) and more lag then usual. There are complaints of skill that took days, months or even years to finish have gone missing, therefore make most of the players items useless.

Some even complainted about the graphics been overdone (such as player owned station force fields) to the point of causing migraine headaches and nausea.

CCP is also been quiet with all the complaints with their customer base on their website.

(See Apocrpha Issues and Feedback threads.)

Overall, along with very bad customer service and an upgrade that should of stayed in the testing stage, Eve Online: Apocrpha is MMPOG game that isn't worth playing anymore.

Eve is a massive game no other dev a has attempted somthing on this scale, they should be celebrated for trying to make something special and asn divers as eve.

I had none of the problems you mention, but then I do keep my pc up to date with the latest hardwire. (and properlly mentain it)

Google any game that try's to stretch the bounderies of its genre and you'll find pages of complaint's,

(Many of wich could be solved by the user's keeping there pc's a little tidyer and uninstalling programs they dont use any more!)

Given the fact that eve has many thousands of player all on the same game you must expect there to sometimes be problem's, and that sometimes these problems may take a long time to fix =(

I just started playing again (tyranis update) and it all seems fine, (got it through steam)

tyrannis is nice indeed, in couple of days we can start building stuff on the planets in a limited way. next expansion "incarna" is supposed to bring walking in stations, hopefully it will :)
