Fifa Football 2004 is used by pro-trainers !

Posted on Tuesday, 11 November 2003 by DoubleD, source: Fragland

Important news from the soccerpitch: at the annual Virtual Fifa Football 2004 championship an important announcement was made by top-level soccertrainer Marc Brys.
I am going to implement both games (Fifa Football 2004 and Total Club Manager 2004) in my trainingscheme.
...
I am going to use these games and show them to my players. I think they can give them more insight into the different options and opportunities a player has when confronted with an opportunity on the field.
Marc Brys was invited by Global Image (Electronc Arts' Belgian PR firm) to give his expert opinion on the games at the Virtual Fifa 2004 championship competition. Brys had the chance to preview both Fifa Football 2004 and Club Manager 2004 a couple of weeks in advance. And as you can see, he was very much appreciative of both games. He has known the Fifa series from 1997 when he purchased the game for his two children but he found the game too 'unrealistic' and 'stiff'.

Top soccer trainer Marc Brys

He was especially impressed by the "Off-ball play" possibilities and the high degree of realism in Fifa 2004, both in gameplay as in the graphical departement. As for Total Club Manager 2004, he was jealous of how easy all the features handled and he wished his job was as easy in real life.

The only 'negative' remarks were on the details on some of his own players (one of which was being depicted in the game as a caucasian while he is from African origin). He also saw a margin of improvement in the shirt-sponsoring departement, although he aknowledged how hard sponsors can be to deal with.
