Final Fantasy XII leaked

Posted on Wednesday, 4 October 2006 by Speed, source: 1Up
1Up has word that apparently, Final Fantasy XII has been leaked on the internet and various torrent sites had made the full game available for download one month before the official release.

Since the news broke out, Square-Enix has been contacting torrentsite and had them remove the file but unfortunately for them, already thousands have downloaded the game

Since filing our original report, it appears Square Enix has started asserting legal control. One popular torrent site, where many others were linking to as an originator, has already removed their torrent listing completely, a response we may see echoed at other Internet dwellings eventually, but for now, many torrents remain alive and well.

Furthermore, when news of the torrents broke, thousands rushed to download the files before they started disappearing (or anyone took notice of their existence).

I don't like pirates, but in a way, I know why they do what they do, it's actually "fun" to do"bad things". Game companies themselves, even Square enix sometimesget involved in illegal things . I would try not to be a "pirate" myself, but thats not to say I wouldn't use products of their time and effort.
(I do think those who did get a copy of the game ahead of time, are lucky(wish I was one of them;))

Considering in the UK I have to wait until next yearm around feb for a PAL copy, I have no moral objecftion to using a pirated game. That's Half the problem, the games are released too late and they wonder why people like me pirate them? Pfft.

Screw that i'm not going to wait that long when I can have it now, and I do, I can confirm the game is real, it is awesome, that is all.
