First PSP game played from memory stick
Posted on Saturday, 2 July 2005 by thondermonst, source: Gamesradar
After reports that hackers had achieved booting homebrew applications from memory stick, the first story of a copied game that plays directly from memory stick arrives. The beginning of PSP piracy?
The doubtable honour to be the first to get this treatment goes to Ubisofts Lumines.
The copy on the memory stick needs his own loading software and also requires a UMD in the drive, any UMD. Sound isn't working yet, but load times are shorter than when booting from UMD. It works with both version 1.0 and 1.5 of the firmware.
