First details of Transformers: The Game
Simultaneous with the announcement of the Michael Bay directed Transformers movie some time ago, Activision said it was working on a licensed game. However, we haven't heard anything about the title since then. Until now.
In Transformers: The Game, that will follow the film's storyline closely, you'll be able to kick ass with both the Autobots and the Decepticons on pretty much every important platform.
Even more interesting is the fact you can constantly switch between characters and shapes. Important Transformers like Optimus Prime, Megatron, Starscream, Bumblebee and Ironhide are all playable.
The handheld ports for PSP and DS are being developed by Savage and Vicarious Visions, while the home console versions are under the supervision of Traveller's Tales (LEGO Star Wars I & II, Bionicle Heroes). Transformers: The Game is expected to arrive in July.

Officially known as Transformers: The Game, the Traveller's Tales-developed actioner is scheduled for just about every platform out there (PC, PS2, PS3, Wii, and Xbox 360) and will come out this summer with nearly identical content. Its storyline will follow the movie closely, giving players control over both the Autobots and the Decepticons as they choose to either protect the earth or pimp slap it.
