First pieces of information on Gears 2
In November 2008 Gears of War 2 will be available. We already expect a hype and marketing machine equal to Halo 3.
More important is wat the sequel to GoW will have to offer. According to the developers "Gears 2 is going to be bigger, better and far more badass than the first one". We get improved dynamic shadows, higher resolutions, better lighting and more enemies at the same time. A scene with more than 100 Locusts at the same time seems to be realistic.
Those who like blood will be happy to hear that there will be more of the red stuff. Sound effects, cutscenes and physics also get an upgrade. Objects for instance could look sticky and have certain parameters to make them more look like and act like balls of slime.
And oh yes, you will be able to blow up parts of the environment. Blowing up stuff is always good!
