First screenshots of Jumpgate Evolution

Many might think it was CCP with EVE Online that was the first to choose space as a setting, but those persons i will have to disappoint. It was NetDevil with Jumpgate that had the first MMORPG with a space setting.
Pitty for them they had 3DO(those awful Army Men games) as a publisher and they sort of went out of business at the same time of the launch. But instead of giving up, NetDevil kept supporting the game by their own and it looks like all their loyal fans will be rewarded for their support.
The game will receive a complete new graphics engine en besides that, will include several new additions. You can already see some screenshots of the revamped game below. For those that are interested, you can also sing up for the beta of the game on the official website.
To show the difference between the old and new version, you can also see some of the old screenshots below.

This is Vendetta/EVE fused into one. But more, and better. Never played Jumpgate myself, might try this new one when it hits the realease. I've quit eve. It's alwats excited when you first start out. But then everything just becomes a routine. Plus, it's pretty scary for a newbie to get into eve. It's freakin huge!
