By the looks of it, the backgrounds are blurred for that very reason. The trees that are only slightly blurred look terrible at points.

It never ceases to amaze me the pickyness of people when looking at games, listen to yourself, you are talking about the trees looking a bit rough.
C'mon surely the fact that this game runs at 60fps and looks incredible and has the most impressive car customization ever seen has you more excited than seeing how the dam tree's look.
I bet when you get it you will stop by the side of the track to have a look at the dam things.

As a next generation game, I fully expect the surroundings, and not just the cars to look amazing. And you're not exactly always going to be going at 150mp/h. What about turns when you slow down? pit stops? I bet you that game will have far more than realistic blurring so that even at 50 mph you won't be able to see the surroundings without them being smudged. Why? Because they're cutting corners and missing out a whole chunck of graphical detail.
It's not the trees, it's everything around the car. If they want to create the feel of a real race on a wide screen T.V. then they should be able to at least have crisp looking graphics at 800*600 resolution on my PC, cause when that's stretched out it will look terrible (except for the car).
So yeh, i'm being a bit picky, but over picky? Not at all.

All I have to say is... You are the man!!!
It's about time someone else in this world appreciates a rock-solid 60fps game instead of being nitpicky and annoyed by something as trivial as stationary objects within the game. It's a game people... What ever happened to the importance of GAMEPLAY?
I have always said that if I could get every 360 game with less graphical detail and solid 60 fps gameplay, I would be one happy SOB!

The background is blurred for a reason, To deceive the eye and focus ALL attention on the car, when the fact is, you will see far more background than cars (especially if you are a first-person driver, driving from inside the car). Me personally, I would like to see a graphics input everywhere not just the cars.

As for it running in 800x600 on your pc and being stretched out fred, what has that got to do with anything?.It aint coming out on the pc.
The bottom line is the game looks awesome and the car models are incredible and the game runs at 60fps and there is nothing wrong with the trackside detail, it has full damage and support for the brilliant X360 force feedback wheel which is suppose to be incredible with Forza 2 and it has the most detailed car customization seen in a game and all you can think is dont the trees looks a bit rough.
I for one cant wait for this game and sure as hell wont be worrying about the trees or other trackside detail once im sat with wheel in hands and feet on pedals screeching around a packed out race track in awesome looking cars with my mates and having some great gaming fun.

The fact that it isn't coming to PC has nothing to do with what I said.
I'll explain once more. When screenshots are of a smaller resolution, they usually appear in higher quality compared to when the same picture is larger. So, if that screenshot was taken at 800*600 resolution (just half of my screen), and already at this low resolution you can see faults in the graphics, then when you imagine the same engine on an HDTV with a resolution of no more than 1024*768 (TV's don't usually go above that nowadays) but on a massive screen, the quality will look much worse than what you see in those screenshots.
Now do you understand?

I got a 32 inch screen and a 70 inch screen and X360 and PS3 look stunning on both so cant see this looking anything less than stunning on either one of them, im just really excited about this game and got the wheel ages ago especialy for this title and although the wheel is great with PGR3 this is the game it was meant for and i cant wait.
If your not excited about it then fair enough but since you dont game on 360 and its not coming to PC i can see why your not excited but a couple of screenshots isnt really enough to go on as far as how this game will look, have you seen it running?, it looks amazing.

Nah, i haven't seen it running, and the ONLY reason i'm not excited about it is because i don't own a PS3 or Xbox, or any console for that matter. If i ever end up getting all the stuff i'm currently saving up for I might start saving up for a console, but atm it's not gonna happen.
