The last couple of weeks, especially around Christmas and New Year, there were problems with Xbox Live. To somewhat make up for this, eventhough they don't want to call it that, Microsoft will be giving everyone a free Xbox Live Arcade game.

According to the software giant the problems were due to the fact that this period was the busiest ever in the five years of existence of the service. More detailed, it was due to a record amount of new subscribers and the highest amount of connections ever at the same time.

Details about the action will be made clear the coming weeks as there has been no word yet on whether you'll be able to choose, will get one specific game, or will receive a number of Microsoft Points on your account.
