Free week of LOTR: Online for every hobbit

Those who've watched the Lord of the Rings far too many on DVD, can now rejoice and join millions of others in the real virtual world of the hobbits. That's right, LOTR: Online is free for one week to all who download the trial.

Anyone who hasn't yet experienced LOTRO can download the massive 4GB client for the game free of charge. Then, after seven days of play, you'll be given the option to buy the full game via retail outlets or online and continue into a regular paid subscription.

The European trial package should be made available sometime today. I'd suggest you check their website for updates.
