GT5 Prologue-demo at the end of this month

Sony announced earlier that they would release a demo for Gran Turismo 5: Prologue on November 11th but it seems they changed their minds: the demo is only available in Japan.

Gamers in Europe and America will have to wait untill the end of this month before they too can have a sneak peak at what GT5 will bring. But if you can't wait, there is a way around. You *could* create a fake, Japanese, account and download the demo on that account. You just have to be able to read Japanese or find someone who can.

But remember, patience is a virtue...

I was looking forward to trying this out only to discover it was on the Jap store and nowhere else, i was going to wait but got bored of waiting so set up a jap account, its easy just Google it and you'll find a walkthrough, thats how i did it, the only thing you need to do properly i think is put in a proper email address, other than that just put in garbage, my Japenese address is 123 noodles origami dragon :)

Anyway GT5 is ok but not the mind blowing graphical powerhouse i was kinda hoping for, feels exactly the same as every other GT game before it and even has that same crappy screaching sound effect every time you so much as look at the brakes.

It does look nice but not exactly stunning, it has a very cool cockpit view now though which unlike some of PGR4's is easy to use but then im sure GT5 will have some cockpit view's that you cant see out of either, 16 cars on the track is very impressive though and will be more so if thats how many can race online in the final game, the track is Suzuka so will be familiar to anyone who has played a track based racer before and you also get a sampling of GTTV which gives you about 5 short programs to download which will appeal to the car nuts out there.

I will be downloading it again but just so i can change the controls since accelerate is on the right stick which i dont like but other's might, i found the option to change the controls but dont read japanese so dont have a clue how to change the controls, all in all i did enjoy the demo and can see the full game being a good play but not stunning like i said before, the GT loyalist will no doubt have some choice words for me since im not saying its the most amazing greatest game ever but thats because its not, if this is what you been waiting for since Sony announced a PS3 then your wait has by no means been worth it, although the car models are probably the one part of the game that is stunning PGR4 is graphicaly the leader for me.

But this i just a demo so the final game could be radicaly better, although anyone with any kind of gaming experience will no probably wont be the case :)
