There's (lots of sun)light at the end of the tunnel for our Australian friends after all. Not too long ago we reported Australia, because of it's strict age classifications, might miss out on F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin. Now however it seems that Grand Theft Auto 4 for Windows, you know, that controversial successor to that equally controversial franchise, will hit the shelves uncensored in Australia.

So then, a game with gratuitous violence, possibly even the title that pushed Jack Thompson over the edge for good, is accepted, but a shooter with a cute little girl then again isn't. Odd for sure. But then again, how would you react if you had to celebrate Christmas in the summer! It is good news however. Let's just hope it's the first step taken in the direction of a possible 18+ rating, which until now has been absent in Australia.
