And then there's publishers saying that piracy is killing PC gaming? Hell, it's crap like this that makes people long for consoles!

Last mission, climbing in the helicopter is impossible. Pressing space does not work, the guy just hangs there while the point of view is only changed. And then falls down. Tried this boring mission with the lengthy scripted car chase, the shoot out and the race on the river bank for ten times now. Enough is enough. Hours are wasted. More people experience the same bug. Remapping of keys does not work. I am not going to tweak resolution and videocard settings to give it another try, only to find out after 20 minutes that it didn't work. GTA4 is nice in many extends, but there are extremely annoying glitches and 'features'. Why the hell do you need to register with Microsoft??? Why the hell do you need to be online in a single player game??? Not being able to finish the last mission just because of a well known bug is unacceptable. Rockstar does not provide a patch, so it's goodbye Rockstar. Hey, game companies, I just want to play games in my rare spare time. I don't want to register, do this and do that. You know what? I didn't buy Spore because I knew about the very intrusive system being installed. And I stay with the old Sims for the very same reason. In the past I downloaded pirated games because the purchased original was a pain in the lower behind, demanding a CD present for instance (cut that annoying 'protection' that doesn't work). I'm getting a little bit tired with crap. I don't see why I need to buy a game when it's possible that it doesn't work properly. Yes, GTA-IV gave some nice hours. The experience is completely ruined however. The next GTA will be downloaded first and then completed. Only then it will be bought. Piracy? I don't want to buy music CD's that just stop in the middle of the most important piece of music either. Especially if the CD demands all kind of trash installed, bugs you with registration crap and demands a live connection to the internet. If pirates are capable of providing stuff that does work without nagging and you, industry can't, don't be surprised that pirated copies are being downloaded. And don't be surprised that some people who are not like me wouldn't even bother buying the not working nagging official product. Damn, 'CD required', do you think we actually keep piles and piles of CD's on our desk and like to act as a 1980's kind of disk jockey?
