GTA did it again

Posted on Thursday, 17 February 2005 by Speed, source: Fox
World's best objective news delivery service, *cough* Fox *cough*, is reporting that a new lawsuit in the US has started in which Grand Theft Auto is seen as the cause for a teenager to shoot down two cops and a dispatcher.

The creators of the game aswell as the store owner that sold the game to killer Devin Thompson (now 18) are being sued.

The suit alleges Thompson purchased "Grand Theft Auto III" at the Gamestop (search) in Jasper and "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City" at the Jasper Wal-Mart when he was under 17. The games, which depict police killings and other acts of violence, are rated M, meaning they are appropriate for those 17 or older.

"What has happened in Alabama is that four companies participated in the training of Devin ... to kill three men," attorney Jack Thompson told The Tuscaloosa News, which reported the suit's filing.

Erm... he was UNDER 17 when he bought it... but now he's 18???

I didn't think San Andreas was out that long yet... sooo, either he's got two birthdays a year (lucky him)... or someone's talking out of his ass :)

Yea it me says vice city, but this is just getting ridiculous. Every couple months some idiot pulls the trigger and a game gets sued.
