According to Valve's Gabe Newell, gamers know better than the average publisher employee what makes a good game. Not surprising but nice to hear from someone who actually works in the industry!

It seems by and large that gamers are incredibly smart; the average gamer seems to know more about what makes a good game than the average person at a publisher
