Gamecube dropping to €99
Gamesindustry.biz confirmes the much rumoured price drop for the Gamecube in Europe.
Microsoft is the last of the three big players to cut their prices and it's expected they will do so in the next couple of weeks.
I'm a proud Xbox owner but I'm also very keen on the Mario Kart series and if they would bring a bundle with both a console and the game for a reasonable price (read 120€) I would consider buying a second console and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one that would do so!
On the GameCube price drop, Nintendo Europe MD of sales and marketing David Gosen said "There has never been a better time to get a GameCube and with this new price we want every household to have one."
Combine this with some highly anticipated exclusive games like the new Mario Kart: Double Dash or the latest Star Wars Rogue Squadron offspring and Nintendo has made a nice move towards the holiday season at the end of the year.[imglnk]15751[/imglnk] [imglnk]15755[/imglnk]
