Games Charts: PC rules

It seems PC is holding the money again with the three highest positions in the All Formats charts. Next to that, The Sims seems less popular on consoles than on PC as EA's game disappears from the XBox and Gamecube charts.

All Formats:
  • 1. Enter the Matrix - Atari
  • 2. The Sims: Superstar - EA
  • 3. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City - Take2
  • 4. Def Jam Vendetta - EA
  • 5. The Sims - EA
  • 6. Midnight Club 2 - Take2
  • 7. Silent Hill 3 - Konami
  • 8. Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell - Ubi Soft
  • 9. Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Tides of War - Activision
  • 10. Championship Manager 4 - Eidos
Enter the Matrix is holding steady at first position while EA's Sims Superstar comes in at second with another EA title (Def Jam Vendetta) arriving at fourth place.
The Legend of Zelda leaves the charts aswell as Burnout 2 and FIFA 2003

PC:
  • 1. The Sims: Superstar - EA
  • 2. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City - Take2
  • 3. Championship Manager 4 - Eidos
  • 4. Enter the Matrix - Atari
  • 5. The Sims: Deluxe Edition - EA
  • 6. Rise of Nations - Microsoft
  • 7. The Sims: Unleashed - EA
  • 8. Planetside - Ubi Soft
  • 9. Blitzkrieg - CDV
  • 10. Vietcong - Take2
It's no surprise that The Sims Superstar comes in at first place but Enter the Matrix loosing a position to Championship Manager 4 and ending at fourth spot is. Rise of Nations comes in at a respectable 6th spot (replacing Microsoft's Freelancer which leaves the charts) while Planetside surprisingly enters the top10. Say bye bye to Medieval Total War expansion Viking Invasion and EA's Generals.

PS2:
  • 1. Enter the Matrix - Atari
  • 2. Def Jam Vendetta - EA
  • 3. Midnight Club 2 - Take2
  • 4. Silent Hill 3 - Konami
  • 5. GTA: Vice City - Take 2
  • 6. Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell - Ubi Soft
  • 7. The Getaway - Sony
  • 8. The Sims - EA
  • 9. X-Men 2: Wolverine's Revenge - Activision
  • 10. Primal - Sony
It seems FIFA 2003's realm has passed as also on PS2 platform the game drops out of the chart. Still, EA can't complain as their latest title Def Jam Vendetta enters at second place while Konami's Silent Hill 3 enters at position 4. No big changes for the rest except for The Getaway jumping over The Sims again.

XBox:
  • 1. Enter the Matrix - Atari
  • 2. RtCW: Tides of War - Activision
  • 3. MotoGP: Ultimate Racing Technology 2 - THQ
  • 4. Burnout 2: Point of Impact - Acclaim
  • 5. Project Gotham Racing - Microsoft
  • 6. Yager - THQ
  • 7. Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell - Ubi Soft
  • 8. HALO: Combat Evolved - Microsoft
  • 9. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon - Ubi Soft
  • 10. WWE Raw - THQ
Hardly any changes for Microsoft's XBox platform with only Yager entering the charts and WWE Raw doing a re-entry. The Sims disappear from the XBox charts.

Gamecube:
  • 1. Enter the Matrix - Atari
  • 2. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker - Nintendo
  • 3. Def Jam Vendetta - EA
  • 4. Burnout 2: Point of Impact - Acclaim
  • 5. Skies of Arcadia Legends - Sega
  • 6. Ikaruga - Atari
  • 7. Super Mario Sunshine - Nintendo
  • 8. Super Mario Bros: Melee - Nintendo
  • 9. Sonic Mega Collection - Sega
  • 10. Metroid Prime - Nintendo
Enter the Matrix jumps over Zelda while Def Jam Vendetta enters at third position in the Gamecube charts. Two other newcomers have arrived with Skies of Arcadia Legends on third and Ikaruga at fourth position.
Sonic Mega Collection does a re-entry and we can depart from Super Monkey Ball 2, Resident Evil Zero, WWE Crush Hour and EA's The Sims.

EA is doing a good job with Sims Superstar and Def Jam Vendetta. Only Atari and Take2 seem to be able to keep EA from completely dominating the sales charts.
