Games Charts: Soccer wins all

With the World Cup Soccer taking place at the moment in Germany, soccer is doing great on all fronts. Not only does the sport get tons of attention worldwide at the moment, also in videogame land it's reaching its peaks.

Number One in the charts this week: FIFA World Cup Soccer 2006 Germany from EA. At number 4 we see Codemasters' Sensible Soccer 2006 while 7 and 8 are respectively Eidos' Championship Manager 2006 and Sega's Football Manager 2006. That's FOUR games in the Top10!!! And it isn't over with that just yet!

Looking a bit further down, we also see EA's FIFA Street 2 still holding up 16th place while Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer 5 manages to just stay in the top20 at the last spot.

I guess one could say a world cup does great things for overall sales. Let's see what happens at the World Championship Table Tennis. I'm sure Rockstar's Table Tennis will hit number one then! ;)
