Gears movie gets Die Hard director
Len Wiseman, the director of Die Hard 4.0 will be responsible for the Gears of War movie. This was announced by Variety , who in turn found out from New Line.
The script was written by Stuart Beattie (Pirates of the Caribbean) and will be edited by Chris Morgan (The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift). Sadly, the film is expected to be released in the summer of 2010 so we'll have to be patient.
Mark Rein from Epic wasn't bothered by this very much:

"It's like with our games, you can have it right or have it right now," Rein told Variety.
"We want to get it right. There's no timetable for us. We just want to make as good a movie as we can, and we think [Wiseman's] the guy who will do it."
