Goldeneye coming to XBLA... but not really
The good, the bad and the ugly, all in one post.
The Good: Rare's Nintendo64 classic, Goldeneye 007, has been in development to be released on Xbox Live Arcade for some time.
The Bad: Several characters wouldn't be included due to licensing issues with certain actors and the game would be "just" a direct port with added online capabilities over Xbox Live.
The Ugly: the game isn't coming anymore. Microsoft and Nintendo apparently couldn't agree on whether Nintendo would get a one-time fee for the rights to the game, or a continuing cut of the XBLA revenues
Meanwhile, tons of people have started putting pressure on both companies to get the title released after all. If you want to join, here's some petition you may want to join:Petition 1 Petition 2
