The Red Ring of Death is no more, say hello to the Red Dot of Death!
The Red Ring of Death has become famous with the quality issues the Xbox 360 has suffered from over the years, but with the Slim version of the console that will be over. Microsoft has decided to no longer include red leds in their "ring of light". And improve the quality of the hardware of course ;)
However, if the system crashes, there will be something else: the "Red Dot of Death"!

However, if the system crashes, there will be something else: the "Red Dot of Death"!
According to Microsoft's support team, while the console won't display a "red ring" in times of hardware failure, it will still clearly indicate an error by switching its power indicator (the light in the centre of the ring) from green to red. So we'll get a red...dot of death instead.
