Gothic III tidbits
German gamesite Gamestar has obtained some more info about 3D rpg Gothic III:
Once again the hero starts out with less skills/abilities/items than he had at the end of the previous Gothic game (Gothic II here). Groups and factions made out of NPC's will play an important role in the game. Furthermore the monster AI has been improved and controls will be set standard as mouse-based.
That's nearly all that was revealed about Gothic III which is quite understandable if you know that a release is only planned for the end of 2005. Thanks Rpgdot.
Gothic 3 will start where the predecessor left off - the hero will land his ship at the mainland which is four to five times bigger than the world of Gothic 2. The mainland will consist of rolling hills, stretches of jungle and desert... dunes, oases and oriental cities included. All this could be seen at the E3 in the form of an early tech demo.
