Gran Turismo HD to become a demo

1Up is reporting that Gran Turismo HD (prototype) has changed name to Gran Turismo HD Concept and will no longer be released as a retail game but rather as a demo with a choice of ten cars and two layouts on a single course.

There will be two modes of play included--Time Attack and Drift Trial mode - and a Network Ranking feature, presumably for the Time Attack mode.

The demo will be available for download for a limited time as of December 24th at the Playstation Store.

If you're anxiously waiting for a full Gran Turismo game, you'll have to wait for Gran Turismo 5
