Greenberg: Natal games will surprise
Aaron Greenberg, the bigshot at Microsoft's product management, has stated that the variation in Natal games will surprise people.
He said this in the latest issue of Edge Magazine in which he also stated that the games portfolio has been thought of years ago already.
The reason? The Nintendo Wii which has affected our fantasy in such a way that we can only think of motion tech in regards of bad party games. Hopefully Microsoft will prove the contrary when they premiere Natal at E3.
He said this in the latest issue of Edge Magazine in which he also stated that the games portfolio has been thought of years ago already.
“The potential is tremendous and we have thought out the portfolio years in advance,” he said. “I think people will be surprised even in the first year by the variety of experiences you’ll get. The beauty of Natal is that it brings you, male or female, young or old, an experience that everyone can enjoy.
“Whether it’s gaming experiences or lifestyle experiences, everything we’re doing in the design is about thinking of a way anyone can step in front of it and be able to use it in a matter of seconds.
“Sure, we could have done a motion controller if we wanted to, but that’s not who we are. We’re a team that makes big bets. Natal is a big bet, and we think it’s a game changer.”
Typical chatter from a product manager, that's clear. However, convincing us will be a bit harder. No motion technology, not Sony's nor Microsoft's is about to succeed in that.“Whether it’s gaming experiences or lifestyle experiences, everything we’re doing in the design is about thinking of a way anyone can step in front of it and be able to use it in a matter of seconds.
