Has the last Guitar Hero arrived?

It looks the Guitar Hero series is in decline. The more recent games in the series have been selling less and less, a trend of which Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock seems to reach the latest depth.

In the first week after release the game was sold barely 86.000 times. As comparison: World tour sold 500.000 times in the same timespan and GH3 managed to sell 1.4 million copies in five days.

Whether this means the end of Guitar Hero is something only the future can tell. Here and there people are even suggesting the entire genre is past its due date.

Honesty, I have to agree with that.
