Guitar Hero coming to Europe in April
Posted on Thursday, 9 February 2006 by Speed, source: Fragland.net
We received word from BHPR, RedOctane's European PR agency, that Guitar Hero, the in the US very popular music game for the PS2, will be arriving in Europe in April.
Not only will you be able to play music yourself (instead of singing like in Singstar), but the game comes with a replica Gibson guitar so you can start imitating AC/DC
The game has 30 licensed tracks and here's the list:
Next to that there will also be 17 songs by various up-and-coming independent rock bands that can be unlocked as players progress through the game

Players use the fret buttons to play notes, sustains and chords, play the strum bar as they would a real guitar, and freestyle on the whammy bar whilst playing 30 classic rock tunes, such as Killer Queen (Queen), Ziggy Stardust (David Bowie), Smoke on the Water (Deep Purple) and I Love Rock and Roll (Joan Jett) alongside more contemporary tunes such as Take Me Out (Franz Ferdinand) and Nobody Knows (Queens of the Stone Age), to name but a few.
In single player, players join an aspiring rock band, playing a series of gigs from small indie clubs right up to stadiums. In multi-player, two guitars are paired for the ultimate thrash-off.
