Gun manufacturer develops a ... shooting sim

The conservative forces in the United States will have a field-day with this one. American gun manufacturer Speedco has developed a shooter game that we haven't seen yet - even though there are a *lot* of shooter-games out there.

X-treme Accuracy Shooting is the ... erm... name of the game (pun intended) and will boast a bunch of pretty realistic features:
  • Receive excellent instructional information, learn the rules, get shooting tips and participate in shooting clinics - all aimed at teaching the player how to become a champion.
  • Designed for both players that are new to the sport and veterans alike.
  • Player career mode includes money system to purchase new and better equipment.
  • Move through competitions and matches, become the "Top Gun" and take home the championship!
  • Receive awards and trophies for winning matches.
  • Play with several different rifles, bench rests and types of ammunition. The "real time" components of competitive shooting will be effectively integrated into this game. The rifles, equipment and accessories are based on the actual components used in competitive shooting.
  • Join the online community.
  • All of the ranges used in the game are based on actual ranges from around the country. Ammo loads will vary depending on the conditions of the range.
  • The natural environment, such as temperature, wind and topography, are as much part of this game as they are in actual competition.
  • X-treme Accuracy will offer the same experience as the player would find on any shooting range.
  • Go online and compete against others.
  • Fine tune the rifle and build custom ammo loads.
It actually looks like a pretty decent game... for the rifle enthusiasts.

Ow yes, word has it that the first 5 copies of the game were ordered by someone called O. Bin Laden - Afghanistan. If flightsimulators helped the 9/11 terrorists/pilots ... who knows what this game can do ?

Check out the screenshots here.

Good question.

I guess target practise only - if you click on the righthandside screenshot you'll see targets ... if you look *really* good :)

Hmmm, looking at Speedco's spokeperson and his wife, I would say this game will be total crap. The tag on his T-shirt probably explains his facial expression. ;)
Looks like another budget title to me.
