Half-Life 2 and Source go 64-bit

Valve, creators of Half-Life 2, have worked with AMD to make a 64-bit version of the Source engine. Starting today you can download a version of HL2 and The lost Coast which were completely redone so they use a 64-bit system's full potential.

The first 64-bit Valve games released will be native 64-bit versions of Half-Life 2 and Lost Coast, and have been developed to take advantage of AMD Athlon(tm) 64 FX processor-based systems - the ultimate 64-bit gaming platform for PC enthusiasts.

You can have Steam dump all of this on your pc, but you'll need to have an Athlon 64 FX processor. Huh? And I thought that something around a 3800+ also was 64-bit? (of course not - an X2 3800+ on the other hand...)
