Halo 1 and 2 go High Definition

The Xbox360 magicbox keeps amazing, because Bungie has announced that Halo and Halo 2 will work on 720p with full scene anti-aliasing on the new console.
On their website, you can find some screenshots that clarify everything.
The game doesn't really change, exept the resolution. You don't have to buy extra hardware or a new game. You just put your old disc in and go!
For Europe, this is nice to know (because less than 1% has a HDTV), but in the US those televisions are already well naturalised. Attention: HDTV is NOT the same as Digital Television, which is rising now.
You can wonder whether the Xbox 360 will be able to handle every old game (IF it supports the game), or if they're talking about built in routines for Halo. We will know in a month, when the console is available in the shops.

But here's another bonus - the hardware in the 360 can do a lot of nifty stuff, and specifically in the cases of Halo and Halo 2, it can display the graphics in wide screen, at 720p, with full scene anti-aliasing. And it doesn't look kludgy, artifacty or smeary like an upscanning DVD player. The best way to describe it is that both games look like they're running on a PC at those resolutions.
