If we look at the most played Xbox Live games, the good old Masterchief is still in the number one position. Halo 2, released at the end of 2004, leaves great games like Call of Duty 2 and Perfect Dark Zero behind.
Beside that, Gamespy announced its top 10 of most played online games on the PC. Here we notice the number of Call of Duty 2 players that doubled in one month, despite the persisting comments of the community. Here the list:
